Karl Wilson, Chair of the Party
I’m delighted to serve as the Chair of the Grimsby and Cleethorpes Labour Party, a role I deeply cherish. Alongside our dedicated executive team, we’re shaping a progressive local agenda. Outside politics, I’m a family man, active in our local community through my work in training mechanical trades. With a background in national negotiations for workers’ benefits, my commitment to addressing inequality in opportunity, health, and wealth fuels my political journey and differentiates me from the Tories. Melanie Onn, Vice Chair
Melanie Onn holds the vital role of Vice Chair, where she plays a key part in leading the executive committee alongside the Chair. Melanie is also the driving force behind our local party’s fundraising efforts, recognising the essential role that financial resources play in achieving our goals and objectives.
Kath Wheatley, Vice Chair (Membership)
Like Mel, Kath supports the Chair of the Party providing direction and helping develop policy and campaigns. She takes specific responsibility for membership helping to welcome new members of the Party and ensuring that existing members are retained.
Maureen Freeman, Party Secretary
Maureen Freeman serves as the Party Secretary and is the linchpin for all local administrative duties. Her role is crucial in facilitating meetings, documenting important decisions, and maintaining effective communication between the local Party branch and our Regional Office.
Frances Bovill, Party Treasurer
Frances serves as our Party Treasurer, overseeing financial management to ensure we have the resources needed for effective campaigns and successful elections.
